Poems from the Heart

Poem – Stolen Children of Libya

“You’d need a heart of stone not to be moved by the predicament of these women. But they oozed dignity and humour every step of the way.”  Foreign affairs correspondent Lisa Holland

Stolen Children of Libya

To Libyan Fathers who abduct

Lives so full of misconduct.

How could you be so heartless?

Putting mothers through so much stress.

How do you justify your deeds?

Turning a blind eye to your kids needs.

Not giving them access to their mum

Leaving those poor women empty and numb.

I really hope you think twice

or later in life, you might pay the price!
