Talking Computers

I just wanna pay my mobile phone bill

So many automated options, with so little time to kill.

Making an International call with a phone card

Computer says “pin number is wrong!” Enough to drive you mad.

Some ask you to say “yes” or “no” and still don’t register

you wanna put the phone down and say: “it’s okay, don’t bother.”

Emotions running high, you are ready to shout

They play you music which has you pulling your hair out.

Poem – Blood Diamonds

Blood Diamonds

Supermodel Naomi had to testify in court today

She didn’t know the men who brought the diamonds her way.

*

“Gift for you” they said when they delivered in the middle of the night

she found out in the morning they were diamonds, much to her delight.

*

Well, Good Luck Naomi, with all that pressure in court – you didn’t crack.

I never hated a man enough to give him diamonds back.
