Julie Harrison and Daughter

Poem – I Shudder

A few days after Christmas, a father shoots his daughter

Before killing himself, he also shoots her mother.

All because of a relationship that went wrong,

Twinkle of an eye, three lives – just gone.

The news reports a Custody Row over their child

How could he have loved his daughter and gone so wild?

Andy Copland’s daughter was only four,

when he sent her knocking on Heaven’s door.

RIP with your mum, little Angel.
